B2B SEO & AEO pricing.
The whole number, on one page.

Three monthly retainers and a short list of project work. All prices NZD and exclude GST. Nothing here needs a call to unlock, and the number does not change once I have seen your budget.

Monthly retainers

Pick the one that matches how fast you want to move.

Every retainer opens with a full technical, AI-visibility and content audit of your site. You get the findings and the fix list in priority order. Implementing the fixes is quoted separately, or your dev team can run the list themselves.

01 / Entry

Start showing up.

$1,400/ month +GST

For teams testing the water. A steady stream of content that compounds in search and in AI answers.

What this actually gets you
  • Your brand named as a source when buyers ask AI about your category
  • Two long-form pieces a month answering questions your buyers actually type
  • Every piece machine-readable, so AI quotes you rather than paraphrasing a competitor
  • Sections built to be lifted whole into an AI answer
  • A monthly read on which questions you are being cited for, and which you are not
  • The full audit fix list at kickoff, ordered by what moves the needle first
  • Everything delivered as files you own outright
Best for: teams who want to show up in AI answers and search without a big commitment.

03 / Growth

Content, sales, social. The lot.

$4,000/ month +GST

For teams treating content as a proper growth channel. Strategy, output and distribution, all connected.

What this actually gets you
  • Everything in Content & Enablement, at six pieces a month
  • Enough coverage that you own the topic, not just a keyword
  • Four to six LinkedIn posts a month pulled from the same work, so the writing earns its keep twice
  • A monthly strategy call where we decide what to go after next and why
  • Priority turnaround when something needs to ship this week
  • A named point of view in your category rather than another vendor blog
  • Optional: I publish it all and manage Search Console, +$500/mo
Best for: teams ready to treat content as a growth engine, not a checkbox.

In every engagement

What actually gets fixed.

Every retainer opens with the same audit. It runs across technical health, AI visibility, content quality, search-experience fit and the shape of your topic coverage. Below is what that means for you, rather than a list of the settings I change.

01

So AI engines can reach you at all

  • ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google AI can all fetch your pages, instead of being turned away by one line in a file nobody has opened in two years
  • Your words exist in the HTML a crawler receives, not only after JavaScript has run
  • New and changed pages get noticed in days rather than weeks
  • Every page you want found is findable, and the ones you do not are cleanly out of the way
  • Google stops splitting your ranking across three near-identical versions of the same page
  • Old links keep working instead of dropping people on a dead end
02

So AI quotes you by name

  • Your company, services, prices and reviews exist as facts a machine can quote, not prose it has to interpret
  • A plain summary at the root of your domain telling AI engines what you actually do
  • Each section answers one question, in its first line, where retrieval looks for it
  • Passages sized to be lifted whole into an answer rather than half-quoted
  • Your brand described the same way on your site, LinkedIn, G2, Crunchbase and every directory a model has seen, so it has one confident answer instead of three uncertain ones
  • Credentials and named authorship attached to the work, so there is a person behind the claim
03

So you make the shortlist

  • Comparison and "alternatives to" pages that put you in frame while a prospect is still building their list
  • Content that matches what the search actually wants, so you stop aiming a blog post at a query that wants a pricing page
  • Posts that reinforce each other instead of quietly competing for the same term
  • The questions buyers ask before they ever contact you, answered on your site first
  • Coverage deep enough that you own the topic rather than renting one keyword
  • Pages judged from your buyer's point of view, not only the algorithm's
04

So a sceptical buyer believes it

  • A reader can tell who wrote it and why they would know
  • Claims carry figures instead of superlatives
  • Thin pages that were never going to rank get merged, rewritten or retired
  • Nothing reads like it was generated and shipped without being read
  • Contact details, terms and ownership visible enough that trust is not a question mark
05

So the page does not lose them

  • Loads before a buyer gives up on it
  • Stops jumping around while images and fonts settle
  • Reads properly on the phone they actually opened it on
  • No browser warnings interrupting the visit
  • Images that carry meaning for search instead of being invisible weight
06

So you know whether it worked

  • Which AI engines are citing you, and for which questions
  • What you newly rank for, and what slipped
  • Which pages are pulling their weight and which are dead freight
  • What changed since last month, written in English
  • A straight answer when something is not working, rather than a reframed metric
Project work

Not everything fits a retainer.

Worth saying out loud

What is not included.

No paid media or PPC management. No social account management, though the Growth tier hands you the posts. No web design or development builds. No PR or media outreach. No link-building campaigns. And no promises about AI citations inside 30 days, because that is not how the retraining cycle works.

If you need one of those, I will tell you and point you somewhere sensible rather than take the work.

Pricing questions

Three monthly retainers: Entry at NZ$1,400, Content and Enablement at NZ$2,500, and Growth at NZ$4,000, all per month and excluding GST. CMS publishing plus Search Console management is an extra NZ$500 a month on the top two tiers. Project work starts at NZ$750 for a one-pager, NZ$900 for a standalone technical audit and NZ$1,500 for AI setup. Prepay six or twelve months for 10% off.
Because a published number filters out the conversations that were never going to work, which saves us both a call. It also means when someone asks an AI engine what B2B SEO costs in New Zealand, there is a real figure on a real page for it to cite. Agencies that quote only after a discovery call are usually pricing against your budget rather than the work.
Technical health, AI visibility, content quality, search-experience fit and topic coverage. In practice that means crawler access for AI engines, whether your content exists in the HTML a crawler receives, indexation and duplication, structured data, passage structure for AI citation, entity consistency across the web, page speed and layout stability, thin content, and where your topic coverage has holes. You get the findings and a prioritised fix list.
The audit and the fix list are included in every retainer. Implementing the technical fixes is quoted separately, because scope varies enormously between a 40-page site and a 4,000-page one. Your own dev team can work the list instead, and plenty do. Content, schema and structured data on the pieces I write are always implemented as part of the retainer.
Traditional SEO typically takes 6 to 12 months. AI citations move faster on the search side, often 2 to 8 weeks after the technical work ships, and slower on the training side. The arithmetic most teams use: divide the annual retainer by your average contract value. At NZ$2,500 a month against a NZ$40,000 average deal, one extra client covers the year.
Yes. Move up or down between months, and stop at the end of any month you have paid for. Prepaid six and twelve month terms run to the end of the period. Everything produced is yours on delivery, including content, schema and documentation, and it stays yours if we stop working together.
Yes. Roughly half the work is Australian, British and American. Everything runs remotely and prices are quoted in NZD. Time zones have not been a problem so far, largely because the work is asynchronous by nature.
Paid media and PPC management, social account management, web design and development builds, PR and media outreach, and link-building campaigns. If you need one of those I will say so and point you somewhere sensible rather than take the work.

Not sure which tier fits?

Send me your domain and what you are trying to fix. I will tell you which band you are actually in, what it would take, and whether it is worth doing at all. No deck, no discovery theatre.
